Tal Glenn Memorial Annual Golf Tournament
The East Texas CPA Educational Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization whose primary purpose is to provide educational scholarships to accounting students based upon financial need and academic achievement. We hold an Annual Golf Tournament as our major fundraiser to benefit our Educational Fund....
The Texas Society of CPAs (TSCPA) and the Young CPAs and Emerging Professionals Committee for TSCPA joined forces to hold a food drive benefiting the East Texas Food Bank on November 11.
The East Texas Chapter in Tyler teamed up with the East Texas Food Bank in fighting hunger and feeding hope to our community. We encouraged organizations, within our chapter, to collect foods during the month of October leading up to Friday, November 11th, the day of volunteering. Volunteers were encouraged to attend between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to donate their collected goods and sign-in to volunteer. 18 people participated in the day of volunteering including 3 students from UT Tyler. 1,112 items were collected totaling over a thousand pounds of food. Additionally, $170 were collected in cash donations.
The East Texas Chapter in Lufkin held a luncheon on November 11th to support local law enforcement officers and to show that CPA’s back the blue!
ETCPA Backs the Blue!
Chapter members supported our own Kathy Kapka and TSCPA at the annual meeting in Galveston recently as Kathy embarks on her year as TSCPA Chair. She did an outstanding job leading the meetings and we are all proud and look forward to her leading the way into TSCPA’s next 100 years!! Thank you Kathy for your loyal service to your community and the profession!
